"my colors, my honor, my colors, my all...

...with my colors upon me one soldier stands tall."
- ice-t

y'all remember that one?

here's a look at the colors i'm playing with for the house interior (the red door actually represents the inside of the front door).

and, yes, i'm thinking cotton candy pink for the office. you got beef?! ;)

luuuuucyyyyy, you got some 'splainin' to do!

why "fog city sparkle", you ask?

if you've ever visited our fair city, you know that much of the time (especially during the summer months) we are shrouded in a thick layer of gray fog. and, while many consider this a deal-breaker at worst and an inconvenience at best, i LOVE it.

my favorite time of day here is night time, just about 9pm, when the fog settles low and the light from the streetlamps creates a glitter effect in the sky. grab your favorite pea coat, pull up your collar, take a deep breath of the cool silver air, and walk through a neighborhood filled with gingerbread victorians. trust me, you'll get it...

...and we're off!

welcome to "fog city sparkle" - where i'll chronicle the process of turning this 19th century san francisco townhouse into a home.

let the headaches and triumphs commence!

xoxo jen

p.s. can't stop singing "now we're up in the big leagues... gettin' our turn at bat..." is that inappropriate for the office?
